The “Google Phone” May Come in Some Form to T-Mobile USA
We still have doubts whether or not the Nexus One will debut as the official Google Phone, but it may appear as some form of Android on T-Mobile’s wireless network. The device was seen recently approved for the right HSPA 3G bands that T-Mobile USA supports, so it’s a good indication that the handset may be destined to the nation’s fourth largest carrier. AT&T support, as the rumor initially suggested, is not there, so that means you won’t get an AT&T and T-Mobile device suited for ease of data roaming. Additionally, the device is spotted as running Android 2.1. Whether the phone arrives as the official Google Phone or another HTC Android device is anyone’s guess at this point, but FCC reports show us confirmation of the Nexus One branding and that the device is now clear for operation on T-Mobile.
