The DigiTimes is reporting that Asus will launch the last smartphone under its brand name before going with the Garmin-Asus branding. The Asus Galaxy 7, also known as the P835, was revealed late last year, but now details are surfacing again as the DigiTimes is reporting on a stronger Asus-Qualcomm partnership, bringing the Qualcomm 7201A dual-core chipset to the device.

The device will have 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, AGPS, and a WVGA touchscreen display. Additional specs information can be found at PDAdb.net.

The last of the Asus branded smartphone is expected for release soon.

As a result of the strengthened Qualcomm partnership, you can expect some netbooks and mobile internet devices from the Asus/Asus-Garmin camp running Snapdragon soon.

Also, PDA.pl has a demo video, which is reposted below.

Update: msmobiles is reporting that the device will have a WiFi hotspot software pre-installed so you can tether your laptop and use your P835’s 3G connection to access the internet.
