Video Overview: SanDisk 8 GB microSDHC Storage Card

When SanDisk asked me if I’d be interested in reviewing their new 8 GB microSDHC card, you know it didn’t take long for me to accept!

At approximately the size of a finger nail, microSDHC (microSD High-Capacity) is what you’re use to seeing in typical microSD cards, but with an improved infrastructure inside. microSD currently ranges from 512 MB to 2 GB while microSDHC can be found in 4, 6 and 8 GB capacities (for now). You could hold both together and not notice the difference except for the fact that the card mentions it. All you have to be concerned about is if your device supports microSDHC.

As you’ll notice in our video I tested it on various devices with very good results and my speed test proved that the Class 4 (based on SD 2.0) speed rating built into this card does show to be faster than other microSD cards.

The card can be found in all major retail stores, including SanDisk’s store at $139.99.

What do I think about it? Well, with an average capacity of either 2,000 MP3 songs, 19,000 JPEG images or 40 hours of MP4 video packed on my phone, my separate MP3 player has somehow disappeared!
