HP Delays New iPaq Line

We reported that the HP iPaq 210 was getting delayed a while back. However, it seems that Engadget Mobile is reporting that there will be delays to the entire newly announced iPaq lineup.

According to the report, HP Australia has confirmed that the HP iPaq 110 won’t be seeing a release until early next month, the 200 series getting clearance January of 2008, the 600 series isn’t coming out until February 2008, and the 900 series isn’t coming out until May 2008.

The delay really is a pity as the iPaq line was the crown jewel of the Pocket PC/Windows Mobile camp during the early Compaq days of yore before the HP/Compaq merger. With the new BlackJack II, TyTn II and AT&T Tilt, Moto Q9h, among the various other smartphones already out or coming soon to major carriers, HP will have a big uphill battle to re-gain market share post-holiday shopping season if the delays pan out to May.
