Today SBSH Mobile Software, LTD. and Web Information Solutions inc. announced a new branding for SBSH Papyrus as Pocket Informant for SmartPhone (PISP) devices. The new PISP version will be offered on WebIS online store and distribution channels where as SBSH Mobile Software will continue to product distribution using the Papyrus brand name.

Additionally, both companies announced a new major update for Papyrus/PISP to version 1.3, featuring major work on user-experience aspects for SmartPhone devices with landscape screens and QWERTY keyboard (e.g. Motorola Q, Samsung i320), complete re-design of the monthly view display and much more.

If you’re an avid Pocket PC user, you most likely have a copy of Pocket Informant loaded onto your device. But for those with Smartphone, there isn’t a solution as complete as Pocket Informant for PIM. Papyrus from SBSH has been the best solution, and now, WebIS will be branding Papyrus as “Pocket Informant for Smartphone Devices,” while SBSH will continue to call it Papyrus. Check out my blog post about it here. Either way, the software has been updated to version 1.3.

If you’re looking for a more powerful solution on your Smartphone to the stock calendar application, I urge you to consider Papyrus.
