“My Smartphone Experience” Blog: Day 17
Since my lifestyle adjustment from a flip phone to a candy-bar (yes, it was that big of a change), I’ve had to modify the organization of my pockets. With an exposed screen, no longer could I nonchalantly put my car keys in the same pocket as my cell phone. The keys have found a new home alongside my wallet, in the left pocket, while the phone lives alone, free from sharp objects, in the right.
So with this new routine, I’ve been able to keep the large screen of my i-mate SP5m generally scratch-free. The other day, though, upon close inspection for any such scratches, I found several pieces of dust under the screen (see image below). Anyone that has dealt with under-screen dust knows that once a few pieces start to appear, the situation only worsens (any Samsung SCH-A670 owners?). I’ve spoken to other SP5m users, and they don’t seem to have the same issue, so I wonder if I’ve got an excess of pocket lint in my right pocket. I’ll investigate that.
Does your Windows Mobile phone pick up any sub-screen dust? If so, which model?
