Jeff Kervin writes a weekly column for his web-site “Writing on Your Palm.” (Palm, in this case is a generic phrase, not to be confused with a limited OS). His columns are almost always thought-provoking and this week’s is no exception. (Visit the “Source” link for the column.)

Jeff postulates that Microsoft may intentionally be keeping from adding features to Pocket Office to continue to drive people to use the desktop versions to add tables, proper pagination, and even print. It’s speculation, but it’s definately food for thought.

Not to toot our own horn (OK, we really are), but we did come up with a solution that would allow Microsoft to continue to sell desktop Office to people who want to add functionality to Pocket Office while still allowing Pocket Office to have those important features. You can read about that, in last weeks Editorial here.
