Fuel Cells, which use alcohol in a chemical reaction which creates water vapor and electricity, are more environmentally safe and deliver up to 10 times the power of their NiCd, NiMH, and LIon counterparts.
Motorolla has a two inch by 1/2 inch ceramic fuel cell that won’t be ready for a few years but Medis Technologies has one that could be ready by the end of 2002. Fuel Cells still have to be made both safe and less expensive.
